Outdoor recreation will bring maximum pleasure if you approach its organization thoroughly. We offer a cheat sheet with a list of the most necessary things for a picnic. We hope it will help you not to forget some very important trifle at home.
1. Picnic basket
If you are traveling by car, it is best to purchase a special picnic basket in advance. Everything you need is already collected in it: plates, knives, forks, glasses, a corkscrew, a pepper shaker, a salt shaker. At the same time, things are very conveniently and compactly packed. Each item has its own place in the basket with special fasteners. There are picnic sets designed for a company of two, four, or more people. The kits differ in terms of configuration and quality of materials, the choice is large, so it will not be difficult for you to find the right one for you.
2. Refrigerator bag
Helps keep food fresh and drinks cool in any heat. Bags range from the smallest (2L sandwich maker) to 40L bags. If it is not possible to buy a cooler bag, you can put a bottle of frozen water in a regular bag or basket at the bottom, and the rest of the provisions on top.
3. Tent, canopy or awning
Going out of town, to some “wild” place, be sure to take a tent or at least a canopy with you. Such a shelter will help to hide from unexpected rain, and from the sun’s rays.
4. Picnic table
As well as folding chairs, bedding, a blanket, karma, a grill, and a barbecue, and to their skewers, matches, a lighter, a hatchet, paper, and, possibly, even firewood. Without these things, it is difficult to imagine a good rest on a picnic.
5. Dishes and other household items
Plates, glasses, spoons, forks, a few knives (preferably folding ones), a can opener, a corkscrew, a cutting board, a couple of deep bowls for salads, an oilcloth to cover the table, and, of course, garbage bags.
6. First aid kit and personal hygiene products
Sun and insect protection, bandage, band-aid, brilliant green, hydrogen peroxide, as well as a special wound-healing gel. Indigestion drugs (activated charcoal), painkillers, antiallergic drugs. In addition, do not forget personal medicines and personal hygiene products.
