Today, Ukrainian doctors need help and support more than ever. They expose themselves to the risk of infection every day and do everything possible to save human lives. That is why the Ministry of Health of Ukraine has launched a social initiative #PidtrimuyuLikariv. Let’s talk about how the action goes.
In order to help medical workers, provide them with personal protective equipment and the opportunity to freely get to their workplaces, the Ministry of Health calls on the people to join the support of Ukrainian doctors.
The symbol of the action was a red ribbon with a knot, which means unity and solidarity with Ukrainian doctors. The tape seems to unite Ukrainians and doctors into one line of support.

MONAMOON sewed suits
Clothing brand for expectant mothers MONA MOON has joined the social initiative of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine #PidtrymuyuLikariv, redirecting its own production to the production of personal protective equipment for medical workers.
As expected, during the quarantine, the MONA MOON office went to work remotely. Despite this, the brand has been sewing protective suits and overalls for medical workers for more than three weeks. At the same time, employees comply with all safety measures recommended by the World Health Organization.
“Statistics show that every fifth of the sick people in Ukraine is a medical worker. Today they, saving the lives of patients, are forced to risk their own lives without having enough personal protective equipment. We just couldn’t stay away. In a matter of days, we purchased the necessary consumables and launched the production of disposable protective overalls and suits.
The fight against the pandemic is not only the task of the state, it is the duty of every responsible person, and by making joint efforts, we can overcome this challenge. Health and support is now the top priority!”

EVA store line provided protective equipment
Now medical workers can be called a “symbol of salvation.” That is why the help of the Line of EVA stores is aimed at them. Realizing that the level of personal protection of our doctors is far from ideal, the company purchased 1,000 protective medical suits for a total amount of about UAH 500,000 and donated them to hospitals.

We hope that the medical protective suits donated by us will become a reliable amulet for them and protect them from the deadly virus even in the epicenter of the epidemic, where infected people need qualified medical care the most,”

The workwear meets international standards, has waterproof and dustproof properties. It allows doctors to reliably protect themselves from the penetration of microorganisms. And after appropriate chemical treatment, the suits can be reused.
EVA also provided more than 200 reference hospitals with detergents and disinfectants worth about UAH 500,000. Among them: are ordinary and antiseptic soap, powder, whiteness, universal detergent, toilet gel, and antiseptic.
