The Summerseason is in full swing, so you need to have time to squeeze the maximum out of it. It’s great that during a country holiday you can combine business with pleasure: for example, digging in the beds with sunbathing.

 We will tell you what will help you get a gorgeous tan right in the garden.

There are a few more days of the May holidays ahead, during which you can have time not only to fry kebabs, and plant seedlings but also to brown a little in the spring sun. It is known that a country tan is much more durable than a sea tan, but it must be acquired in compliance with certain rules.

An excellent bonus of a country holiday is that you can sunbathe directly while working in the garden. However, in order for the skin to turn into a dark shade evenly, and not in stripes and spots, you must take care in advance about what exactly you will be sunbathing in.

Don’t forget to use sunscreen. Yes, in our latitudes, UV radiation is not as aggressive as on the seashore, but this is not a guarantee that you will avoid burns. We have compiled a list of 5 points for you, the observance of which will provide you with the perfect country tan – here it is!

5 rules for a beautiful tan in the country:

  • If the weather permits, then work in the garden right in your bathing suit. A T-shirt and shorts cover part of the arms and legs, so in such clothes, you risk getting an uneven tan, which then, on the contrary, will have to be hidden;
  • While working in the garden, you are always in motion, which is ideal for getting an even tan. However, do not get carried away weeding the beds, and do not forget to periodically turn around so that the rays cover you both in front and behind;
  • If you have pale or fair skin that burns quickly, do not forget to apply sunscreen to your skin before going to the site;
  • Arrange for yourself a shade in which you can hide during the most active hours: it can be an awning or a simple beach umbrella;
  • Do not forget to take a shower: after working in the sun, your body will be covered with sweat, which can cause irritation.

To stimulate the production of melatonin, lean on foods rich in beta-carotene: these are carrots, watermelons, melons, and apricots. Before sunbathing, it is also better not to wash with soap or gel. These products will dry out the skin and strip it of its protective fatty coating, and this is fraught with burns.
