SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS WITH OUTLOOK ON THE WEB

DATES AND EVENTS
Click any time slot in the Outlook calendar and start typing to create an appointment or event. You can also set a message or sound to remind you of events or meetings. In addition, the elements can be colored and can thus be identified more quickly.
MEETINGS
When you select a time in the calendar, you can use it to send a meeting request. To do this, select the people who should be invited. Outlook helps you find the earliest possible time when all invitees are available. The meeting request is then sent via email and invitees can accept the meeting directly, accept with hesitation, or decline.
If the request conflicts with an item in the invitee’s calendar, Outlook will let you know. You will be constantly informed about who accepts or cancels the meeting or even if another time for the meeting is suggested.

You can also create complete calendars that show the schedules of a group of people. For example, it often generates schedules for the people in your department and their resources, such as conference rooms. This allows meetings to be organized more quickly.

The overlay view shows multiple calendars created by you. The function is similar to the side-by-side calendars; conflicts or overlapping appointments can also be quickly identified here. This view makes the planning particularly clear, especially when working in large teams.
LINK TO CALENDARS ON MICROSOFT SHAREPOINT SITES
If you have access to a SharePoint, you can display events or lists about it in your calendar. These lists can then be modified locally in Outlook, even when working offline. All changes are then automatically synchronized.
SENDING CALENDARS VIA EMAIL
Your own calendar can also be sent to an e-mail recipient as an Internet calendar. You still retain control over what information is disclosed. Nevertheless, the other person can see which appointments you have coming up.
